Referral Program
Koda Media Referral Program Disclaimer
Koda Media’s Referral Program rewards individuals and businesses for introducing new clients to Koda Media. Qualified referral partners will receive a one-time referral commission equal to 10% of the referred client’s first payment to Koda Media.
Referral Qualification
To qualify, the referred client must be a new lead or prospect who has not previously worked with Koda Media, contacted Koda Media, been referred by another person, or already entered Koda Media’s sales pipeline.
The referral must be clearly submitted or communicated to Koda Media before the prospective client signs an agreement, purchases a service, or makes their first payment. Referrals cannot be claimed retroactively.
If multiple people refer the same prospective client, referral credit will generally be given to the first qualifying referral received and documented by Koda Media.
Referral Commission
The referral commission is 10% of the referred client’s first successfully collected payment only. This is a one-time commission and does not apply to future or recurring payments, renewals, additional services, upgrades, add-ons, advertising spend, software fees, or other purchases.
Split or Partial Payments: Koda Media generally requires payment in full unless another payment arrangement is approved. If a referred client is permitted to split their initial payment into two or more payments, the referral commission will still be calculated only on the first payment actually received by Koda Media—not the total contract value or combined amount of the payment plan.
For example, if a client’s total initial purchase is $5,000 but the client is approved to make two $2,500 payments, the referral commission would be 10% of the first $2,500 payment ($250). No additional referral commission would be earned when the remaining $2,500 is paid.
Definition of “First Payment”
For purposes of the Koda Media Referral Program, “first payment” means the first individual payment successfully collected by Koda Media from the referred client for their initial purchase of services.
The referral commission is calculated solely on the amount of that first transaction, regardless of the total contract value, package price, project value, or payment arrangement.
If the client pays the entire initial amount in one transaction, the referral partner receives 10% of that full first payment.
If the client is approved to split the amount into two or more payments, only the first individual payment qualifies for the 10% referral commission. Any second or subsequent installment does not qualify, even if it is part of the same initial contract or purchase.
For example, if a $5,000 service is paid in full at signing, the qualifying first payment is $5,000 and the referral commission is $500. If the same $5,000 service is split into two $2,500 payments, the qualifying first payment is $2,500 and the referral commission is $250.
Deposits, retainers, down payments, or other partial payments collected as the client’s first transaction will be considered the first payment for purposes of calculating the referral commission.
Under no circumstances will multiple payments be combined to calculate the 10% referral commission.
Commission Payment Schedule
Referral commissions are paid within 30 days after the referred client’s first payment has been successfully received and cleared by Koda Media.
The client’s payment must remain in good standing and cannot be refunded, canceled, disputed, charged back, or otherwise reversed. If a payment is reversed before the referral commission is issued, no commission will be owed. If a commission has already been paid and the qualifying payment is later refunded or charged back, Koda Media reserves the right to deduct that amount from future referral commissions.
Referral partners are responsible for providing any information reasonably required for Koda Media to process their commission payment.
Koda Media reserves the right to verify referral eligibility, resolve referral disputes, and modify, suspend, or discontinue the Referral Program at any time. Participation in the Referral Program does not create an employment, partnership, agency, or joint venture relationship with Koda Media.
